1. What This Policy Covers

This policy explains what information Bornchart (bornchart.com) collects, how we use it, and what choices you have.

2. Information You Provide

• Birth information (date, time, place, and gender at birth) — sent to our compute endpoint to calculate your BaZi or Zi Wei chart, processed transiently, and not written to any database unless you explicitly submit it for a future report workflow.
• Email address — only collected if you choose to sign up for updates about the Personal BaZi Reading Report. Used solely to send you that one notification when ready. You can unsubscribe at any time.

3. Information We Collect Automatically

We use Cloudflare for hosting, which logs basic technical information (IP address, user agent, request paths) for security and analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To compute your chart. Your birth details are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our compute endpoint hosted on Cloudflare, the chart is calculated in memory, returned to your browser, and not written to any database.
• To send the one-time email you opted in for (if applicable).
• To diagnose technical issues and prevent abuse.

5. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your email address.
• We do not run targeted advertising.
• We do not build personality profiles from your data.
• We do not write your birth information to any database. It is processed transiently to compute your chart and is not persisted by our application. (Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, keeps standard access logs as described in Section 3.)

6. Email Service Provider

Emails are sent through Resend (resend.com). They process your email address solely to deliver the message. See their privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

7. Cookies

Bornchart uses minimal browser storage (localStorage) to remember whether you have already submitted your email, so we don't ask again. No third-party cookies are set.

8. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your email from our list at any time by emailing hello@bornchart.com. Since we don't persist birth information, there is nothing else on our end to delete.

9. Children

Bornchart is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where required by EU law). If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will remove it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
