1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bornchart (bornchart.com), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What Bornchart Provides

Bornchart is free birth chart software for traditional Chinese metaphysics, including BaZi and Zi Wei Dou Shu. The calculations follow deterministic calendrical rules and are presented for cultural self-understanding.

3. Paid Reports, Refunds & Withdrawal

Paid reports (see Reports & Pricing) are one-time purchases of personalized digital content, delivered by email within 24 hours of purchase. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

Refunds: you receive a full refund if your report is not delivered within 24 hours, or if it contains a technical defect, reported within 14 days of purchase. Because each report is individually computed and written for your birth data, we do not offer refunds for change of mind once a defect-free report has been delivered.

EU/UK consumers: by purchasing, you request immediate delivery of personalized digital content and acknowledge that you lose the statutory 14-day withdrawal right once delivery has begun — without prejudice to the refund commitments above. Refund contact: hello@bornchart.com.

All content on Bornchart is provided for educational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes professional, medical, legal, financial, psychological, or relationship advice. Decisions about your health, finances, career, or relationships should be made with qualified professionals — not based on a BaZi reading.

4. Accuracy

We use open-source calculation engines (iztro and lunar-javascript). The current beta can adjust civil birth time for timezone, daylight saving time, birthplace longitude, and the Equation of Time (apparent solar correction). Year and month pillars are anchored to standard time per solar-term convention; day and hour pillars follow the corrected time. While we aim for calendrical accuracy, we do not guarantee that any interpretation matches the user's actual life experience.

5. User Input

You are responsible for the accuracy of the birth information you enter. Bornchart does not verify or store this information beyond what is needed to display your chart in your browser session.

6. Email Sign-ups

If you provide your email address to receive future updates, you may unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell or share email addresses with third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

The Bornchart name, design, and original written content are © 2026 Bornchart. Underlying calculation libraries are open-source under their respective licenses.

8. Limitation of Liability

Bornchart is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions you make based on information from this site.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
